Tools Under Development

Carbon Filtration

Granular activated carbon filtration is an advanced treatment process performed on liquid wastewater that removes organic micropollutants (e.g., PFAS, pharmaceuticals). We are integrating this process into our suite of resource recovery tools to dramatically reduce the emission of these contaminants to the natural environment.

Building-Scale Treatment Process

We are developing a building-scale toilet “resource” collection and treatment system, which prevents water pollution and produces sanitized fertilizer by integrating our freeze concentration, pasteurization, and carbon filtration tools into a single, remotely-monitored treatment train.
